Chocolate Pie

1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup flour
3 tablespoons cocoa
2 cups milk
3 eggs, separated
1/2 stick butter
Dash of salt

Mix sugar, flour and cocoa with a little milk to make a paste. Beat in egg yolks. Heat rest of milk with butter and salt until butter is melted. Combine the 2 mixtures and cook until thick. Remove from heat and add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Cool, then pour into baked pie shell. Cover with meringue and brown.
