1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup white corn syrup
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
2 cups Special K cereral
1 cup chopped pecans
1 teaspoon vanilla
6 oz. chocolate chips
6 oz. butterscotch chips
In large saucepan, mix together sugar and syrup. Bring to a boil, remove from heat, and stir in peanut butter. Add cereal, pecans, and vanilla. Stir together and press into a greased 9x13-inch pan. (NOTE: for thicker bars, use smaller pan.) In a double boiler, melt chocolate chips and butterscotch chips together. Spread over mixture. Let icing get hard and then cut into squares.
